Jason Kibbler

Week 13

(Weekly Post #2) (5-2-16)

Jason Kibbler is a fashion photographer who is known for obtaining the most PERFECT facial expressions from his models.  You can clearly see from his photographs that he has a talented skill.  Being able to set up all the features and carryout camera work properly is one thing–but being able to work with the subjects is also a key factor when shooting because in the end–capturing the expression you want from them is priority.  I am extremely impressed with the expressions captured in the photo of the girl with glasses hurting the guy in her lap.  The guy is clearly a model pretending to be in pain but if you think of the time it takes at a photo shoot–the expression must have been caught at the perfect moment. h2vwxpr3m6ruqowowhsw.jpg

Andrew G. Hobbs

Week 13

(Weekly Post #1) (5-2-16)

Andrew G. Hobbs works with styles that have colorful, monochrome looks on the background and on the subject as well.  He shoots for magazines such as GQ, British Vogue, Esquire and more.  The first photo with blue, green and violet color glow is one of my favorites because it looks so good.  I would have never thought to incorporate a colorful soft-glow  into a photo.  I think the subject not only looks beautiful, but her hair color and the perfectly flowing ends of her hair look amazing as well. The all black attire also contributes to the look of this.  vzcxlnuuhq6lqj7vvefc.jpguqw8kdo9larayidscq2y.jpgidlcfbvv8pxesgd2ou5u.jpgg0wpmrooyqb6y7w3ixo9.jpg

Juco

Week 12

(Weekly Post #2) (4-25-16)

Juco is a photography duo (Julia Galdo and Cody Cloud) , who’s fashion photography is known for its saturated color, and fun patterns.  I liked the bold, yet fun colors used in the photo on the left.  I think that the props used are essential to making their work what it is.  The photo of A$ap is cool because of the lighting.  The lights create sort of a blacklight glow over him however the white pants and shoes he is wearing really stand out and work well with the aperture as well.   ft25kk9vxwk5ahjfkpx0.jpg

Aline & Jacqueline Tappia

Week 12

(Weekly Post #1) (4-25-16)

This photography duo has shot for many notable magazines.  Their style and what their work has been known for, is their simple backgrounds, aperture and styling.  Their use of styling really is incredible in the photograph of the model and the gold walls.  I love who the reflection of the body is shown on both sides of her body.  I also really love the contrast and pose of the model.  I think that the reflective background really works well with the entire picture as a whole.  The photo of the man with drawing all over him is very intense.  I think the bold black background really makes the man stand out and was a good use of contrast.fdctgixczuqalygrnmwv.jpgr4vsn0rvw1qgu4uxf1bo.jpg
